Soulflower Design Studio » San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma Floral Design

We’ve been a member of the International Live Events Association (ILEA-NCC), formally the International Special Events Society, for the last nine years.   During the last several years, Soulflower Design Studio’s owner, Emily, has been an active been Board member and in recent years a Strategic Partner.  We’re so excited that she recently stepped up to serve as the newest ILEA-NCC President.  A few photos from the inaugural Gala in July, 2016 by Orange Photography.

A few words about why Emily has chosen to be part of ILEA-NCC:

I first came into the organization to broaden my network and build my business.  I can wholeheartedly say ILEA-NCC has helped me grow both personally and professionally.  This of course was not without time and dedication volunteering on committees, sponsoring events and consistently showing up.   I had to be willing to “be evolutionary” and get outside my comfort zone, try new things and embrace all the potential of our incredible membership base.  I have countless ILEA stories of those who have mentored me and of looking beyond my own self-imposed limits to ‘go for it’ to transform ILEA connections into real business, real relationships and real growth.

-Emily Dreblow, ILEA-NCC Board of Directors, President

To hear more about her vision for the year ahead, you can read the latest newsletters from July and August.  Looking forward to Emily’s leadership with such a prestigious organization!

When it comes to weddings, two major items are here to enhance our brides’ beauty: the gown and the bridal bouquet. And if we look closer at the fashion industry, designers have also been inspired by floral designs for years. One of the last memorable collection inspired by the timeless fascination of flowers is the outstanding Dolce and Gabbana Fashion show in Milan. From the blood red carnations embroidered on black lace dresses to the elegant floral prints on silk shawls, the collection embodied the iconic Dolce and Gabbana woman.D&G Spring 2015 MilanGo ahead,PIN IT!dolce-and-gabbana-spring-summer-2015-women-fashion-show-review-and-inspiration-embroideryGo ahead,PIN IT!Sadly it is also time for us to honor the amazing talent and mesmerizing designs of the iconic Oscar de la Renta who’s tragic demise shook up the industry last year.  His signature masterpieces always featured natural and most likely floral details, proudly worn by inspirational and powerful women all around the world.  We are so fortunate  to work in such a creative industry with all those talented minds around us!Oscar-de-la-Renta_Spring_Summer_2015_NYFW_New-York-fashion-week__dresses_floral-1024x689Go ahead,PIN IT!

Weddings in the Napa/Sonoma Wine Country are always a delight and we are happy to share with you a few of our recent favorites from past few years. The vineyard landscape coupled with gorgeous vistas are just some of the magical elements that are part of so many Wine Country weddings. The natural setting is such an inspiration to our team and brings forth creative designs integrating organic elements, rustic details and range of tasteful decor.

Cheers,

Christina
